America! USA! U! S! A! ...a place rightly admired but sometimes reviled. As a graphic design student, I spent an unforgettable summer here, working as a lifeguard at private pools. I returned the following year and had another great time with old friends and meeting new ones.
My friend Monika, another Czech lifeguard, wrote her experiences engagingly in her blog and I consistently documented what I could. After returning to university, I created the book Amer!ka. The reader can thus get an idea of the stay of Czech students in the USA.
